Today is my best friends birthday! He’s 45 and s

Today is my best friends birthday! He’s 45 and still as good looking as the day I met him... his few gray hairs only add two how handsome he is! I can’t tell you how blessed I am to call him my husband. The father of my children. The best Papa there is! he still makes me laugh… there’s still some nights that we will lay in bed laughing until the wee hours of morning. I don’t know, and don’t wanna know what this life would’ve been like without you! I definitely know that God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you! To another year of celebrating God‘s goodness and mercy in our lives! Happy 45th Birthday to my favorite person, my second love, my best friend! ❤️

This first picture is of my Poppy Daly in St Mary's Bay Newfoundland before 1979. My older sister purchased the original Daly family home a couple years ago. The home was built back in 1850. Her dream was to restore the old fish store (150 years old) that sits directly across from the house by the water. Hurricane Larry tore it down this week. My sister is pretty devastated. Please keep the people in Newfoundland in your prayers today and my sister Danita as she tries to navigate the clean up and assess the damage from back here in Ontario. 🙏❤️

HOW ARE YOU DOING TODAY?

4 small words that mean so much to a woman! By taking a few moments a day to ask how she’s doing, and really listening to her … it shows you care, it tend to a deep need in her heart to be heard and seen.

Don’t assume you know how she’s feeling because most women will just push through the pain and gets things done. Sometimes behind getting things done … she’s actually falling apart. ❤️‍🩹 #soulcare

Note: What have you been doing?… is not the same as … How are you doing?

I’m sure there’s men out there that could use a “how are you doing today?” as well!

My favourite book by far that I’ve read this yea

My favourite book by far that I’ve read this year has to be A Gospel Primer - Milton Vincent. I read one of the entries each morning, the subtitle on the front cover says “learning to see the glories of God‘s love” … it’s definitely done that for me. This book is filled with so much of God‘s grace. It’s a must have for every Christian. It’s actually a must read for even nonbelievers trying to understand why we Christians put our faith in Jesus Christ. This little book will begin transforming your heart and life as it helps you to understand the grace that has been given to us through Jesus Christ. I pray it blesses you as much as it has blessed me this year! ♥️

I love studying God‘s word, but six years ago, even as a long-standing believer, I was fearful to pray. I was afraid of getting it wrong. When I finally realized that prayer is really just an intimate conversation between my creator and me, the one that knows my heart better than anyone (even me), the one I'm completely exposed to, the one that is totally OK with me messing up my words. I became less fearful of messing up. Prayer became my love language.

Are you leaning in, seeking and trusting God today? Are you trusting him at his word? Taking all your worries and fears to him in prayer?

Did you know that Gods word does not return to Him void? It promises to accomplish everything he sends it out to do.

Whether scripture is convicting your heart today, or encouraging your heart today, you have been given something to pray about.

Maybe today you need to repent of something that has taken God‘s place in your life. Be that social media, a career, your children, your boyfriend, even your husband. All of these things can be good things but they can also be idols. What are you pursuing? Anything that takes you away from intimacy with God is an Idol.

Return to your first love. Know that he hears us when we pray. Pray His word if you struggle with your own words!

A friend of mine once said to me “prayer is like oil and vinegar. It’s usually the vinegar that flows out first but if you pour out yourself long enough in prayer to God eventually the oil will flow.”

She was right.

If prayer feels like a foreign language… start practising so that you become fluent in it! ♥️

I was watching videos of Afghanistan this morning.

I was watching videos of Afghanistan this morning. My heart breaks for the women and children there.

ALL their rights will soon to be taken from them. Their world has been turned upside down. They will no longer be able to go to school, no longer be able to show their faces, no longer be able to go into hair salons, restaurants, schools, or government establishments. They will be forced stay home. Forced to wear a Burka. Forced to do things with their bodies that violate human rights. They will be treated like they’re diseased, when they are not.

Made me think of our government and our rights here in this country. It seems to me that we are not far off from having this same type of government.

A dictatorship.

As a list begins forming from our government of things people won’t be able to do if unvaccinated my heart hurts and fears are at an all time high. Unvaccinated will not be able to go into a federal building to apply for social insurance numbers. WHAT?????
